MS Kitchens is a national company based in Preston with a glowing reputation for delivering quality bespoke kitchens for well over 30 years.
When Mark Stephens, (director of what was then Mark Stephens Kitchens) approached Code Creative, Mark was looking for a new look and approach for his Kitchen business. The current website in place was dated, not multi device compatible with virtually no presence on Google. We assisted Mark recover ownership of his domain from previous agency after some successful negotiating.
Our aim was to rebrand, rebuild from scratch a brand new website for Mark and then to rank it prominently for commercial terms in Preston.
The end goal was to generate a steady flow of new customers from Google, week on week, month on month for MS Kitchens.

Beautiful Website Redesign
Mark Stephens Kitchens was in need of a new website. Ranking the old website would have resulted in a lot of new traffic coming to the site but traffic that wouldn’t have converted. We built a new site designed to convert.

Rank Tracking - Growth over time
When starting out with the campaign it was quickly agreed that we lock in on the lucrative and elusive term Kitchens Preston. This had the most search volume for what Mark sold and was in the correct catchment area.
A quick analysis showed us that advertisers were paying Google a lot for their “paid ads” to appear at the top of the page. This is a strong indicator that this term attracted traffic that was considered of high value to competitors. Meaning the people search this term serious about making a new enquiry to buy a kitchen.
The secret to success with a search engine optimisation campaign is to rank a website for a term that gets a healthy amount of searches every month and also has what we call “Commercial Intent”.
MS Kitchens started off way down the pile at page 6, position 54 to be exact. Below is a graph that shows the movement of MS Kitchens site from position 54 all the way to Position 1 on Page 1! As you can see from the graph this took a total of 7 months to achieve.
